It was our (Lynn and I) anniversary several days ago and it was anything but happy. All of our kids were sick at the same time. My guess is that they picked it up from the Tet parties last weekend. It only takes one sick kid to spread his/her germs to everyone and my kids always seem to be on the receiving end.

Happy Chinese/Lunar New Year! It was this time last year when I started this blog. Oh how time flies. If you are a believer of the Chinese Zodiac and/or crazy superstitious, this is your lucky year. But how lucky can it be if the world's supposed to end according to the Mayan calendar. What am I to believe? None of the above.

The weather has been really nice lately (sunny and in the high 60s - low 70s) so we took advantage of it this week. I was deciding on either taking the kids to the park or to Pearland Town Center. They could run around at both locations but at least with Town Center, we the parents can also shop. And I love the fact that it's less than a mile away. I know because one time I had dropped off my car at Goodyear, jogged home and RunKeeper told me it was only a 0.8 mile run. At this rate, we'll never move since we're so close to everything.

When the kids do something bad or ridiculous, Lynn and I jokingly say "that's your son" instead of saying Jacob or Andrew (and now Tyson). It's a statement that says there's no way that child is mine, so he could only be yours. This happens the most with Andrew. And with him being called "my son" or as Lynn likes to put it "Jimmy Jr."

Appearance-wise, I don't think he looks anything like me. But as for the personality, he's a carbon copy. Throughout the weeks (or months) I'll post reasons why Andrew is just like me and why we should just call him Jimmy Junior.

In my previous post, I wrote that one of my resolutions is to keep in shape. It's quite vague so I'm going to set goals for myself. Ultimately I'd like to get  to <10% body fat. But for now, I'm going to set short term goals that are more easily attainable and it will be a gradual step-wise process that will eventually end (I hope) with my ultimate goal.

Goodbye 2011. Hello 2012. It's a new year. A clean slate. And that also means it's time for the obligatory New Year's resolutions. I try not to confuse goals and resolutions as I think resolutions have no absolute end, unlike goals (e.g. lose 5 pounds). So here are my 2012 resolutions.
