Soccer soccer soccer

It's too much soccer. The season just begun but I'm ready for it to end. I forget how dreadful it is to sit outside for hours in the scorching sun. Even if you bring your own shade (umbrella or tent), it's still hot as hell. Texas heat sucks. Anyway, this season is Tyson's first year to play! It's hilarious watching these tiny kids run around. It's still in that fun phase, i.e. there's nothing competitive about it.

As for Andrew, he got put in a team full of, for lack of a better word, newbies. Half of the team have never played before while those who had soccer experience are terrible. He does have one good teammate and another decent one, but that's it. His game ended with the score of 4-15. Or 16? The other team scored well into the teens. Andrew got two goals but primarily did it all on his own. It's going to be a long season.

Getting knocked around and beat up. He hurt his knee and ankle.

And then there's Jacob. His games are now on Sunday afternoon, during the hottest time of the day (and during NFL games). So yuck. After years of being on winless teams, this team seems pretty decent. They won their first game 3-1 (one of the goals from Jacob).

His teammate needs to give him space. :(
