Solar eclipse

My view of the eclipse from home.

I wanted to see the total solar eclipse. The next total solar eclipse (in our area) won't happen until 2045. And the path of totality was only a few hours drive west (Waco, Austin, San Antonio). With that in mind, I booked a hotel and was all set. 

But the news only reported doom and gloom. Cloudy skies all over Texas. Chances of viewing the eclipse was low. So I canceled the trip and stayed put. But people in the path of totality still got a view. That's what I get for listening to the news and not taking a chance. Oh well. I'll catch the next one in twenty one years.
