As mentioned on the previous post, we were out of town for Spring Break and that's when things started to get "crazy". Cases of COVID-19 started to increase and people began to panic buy. Hand sanitizer was already hard to find (understandable) but toilet paper was impossible to come by. For the life of me, I will never understand why. Why would people hoard toilet paper during a pandemic? And it just so happen that our supply was low before we left for our vacation (only 3 rolls left).
On our long road trips, we usually get a package of bottled water but that was sparse. Uh oh, people were freaking out. May as well check for toilet paper too but no luck. Anywhere. I made multiple stops all along our drive home but nothing. Zilch. Nada. People had already emptied the shelves and we never had a chance. What's the point of stockpiling toilet paper?? 😑

Luckily, I happen to know a panic buyer (my mom) who stocked up on toilet paper and other "essential" items. She was generous enough to supply us with some much needed TP. Let's see how long our supply lasts with six butts to wipe.
