Two miles up (Leadville, CO)

We've been coming to Leadville every year during Spring Break since 2018 (with a break in 2021 due to COVID). This trip also made it our ninth road trip to Colorado... and counting. And now that I'm a little more experienced, I took my Nissan Pathfinder since it had 4WD. It was a nightmare driving the minivan in snow and ice. The major drawback was the loss of space but we made it work.

Anh Vien and his family also met up with us in the two mile high town. Good times.

We made it!

Obviously, we had to make a snowman.

Strolling around town...

Got a couple of lattes and too many pastries (City on a Hill).

Sledding and snow play at Turquoise Lake, which was frozen over.

And happened to meet the ultra marathon runner of the year, Courtney Dauwalter.

Swipe right and you'll see us (albeit super far) in the video.

No lessons available, no problem. I took Andrew straight to the chair lift.

Anh Vien and Elijah ready to shred with us.

It's snowing so hard...

By day 2, Andrew got it down.

A couple of cool dudes. 😎

I utilized the hot tub on a daily basis. I love the hot and cold contrast.

The kids enjoyed it too.

Family picture before we leave.

Our traditional picture by the Arkansas River (Cotopaxi, CO).

Getting our Vietnamese food fix at Saigon Restaurant (Amarillo, TX).

Walmart stop to pick up sweets and toys for our long drive home (Childress, TX).

When going home, we always stop at Slovacek's for good eats (West, TX).
