Tyson is saved from eternal damnation, for now at least. Today he was (finally) baptized. It went really well, he didn't cry once. It's surprising given the fact that a complete stranger was touching him on the head and chest then poured water on his head, all against his will. Wait, he did cry once... when my mom held him afterwards. It seems like Tyson will accept anyone holding him except for my mom. She has the power to make him instantly cry.
Tyson's godparents are Lynn's siblings, Dat and Julie. We kept the baptism small. It was essentially Lynn's family and my parents. Ever since Tyson's arrival, I have been reluctant to have any kind of party or big get-together since it's so much harder with a third child, who happens to be a baby. (The kids will forever outnumber the parents.) Things should change once he gets older and we'll make it up to Jacob and Andrew, both of who did not get a birthday party this year.
