Anniversary day

Last Saturday Lynn and I celebrated our 6th year wedding anniversary. Initially I had made reservations for Vic & Anthony's steakhouse (my favorite place for steak). But then I thought, we don't need to be all fancy and high class. How about we spend the same amount of money that we would've spent on dinner and stuff our faces with equally good food from our favorite places around Houston. And that's exactly what we did.

Jacob's ridiculously hard class assignments

Jacob comes home exhausted everyday from school. He's so tired that he falls asleep anywhere. On the floor. In the middle of the hallway. Sometimes with his jacket and shoes still on. Poor guy. What's going on? Is third grade really that hard? The answer is yes. Yes, it's fucking hard as shit.

Goals for 2015

It's that time already to set those new year goals. Looking back at last year's goals, I did pretty good with my goals. Well I only had four goals, one of which was the fitness challenge. I got through that one but crawled to the finish. I'll do better this year. The other two goals I did the majority of the time (goodnight kiss and finishing projects) but the goal of taking a daily picture everyday... totally didn't keep up with. So 3 out of 4. That's 75%, a solid C.

A winter "vacation" II (Denver, CO)

The word vacation is in quotes (again) which will soon be explained. And the II denotes our second winter break road trip as a family. This was something I wanted to do again after the disastrous first trip of two years ago. I wanted redemption. But unfortunately, I would not get it on this trip. Throughout the whole trip, I kept finding myself repeating the same words: what the fuck!
