This marks the fifth weekend in a row where I got a burger (not counting any fast food ones). After Jacob's T-ball game on Saturday, we had lunch at 9er's Grill. I ordered the Tex-Mex burger which included jalapenos, bacon, and cheese. The beef patty was big and thick. Each bite was really flavorful. The fries looked like the frozen variety but it was cooked really well (crisp) and lightly seasoned just right.

Sunday I craved breakfast/brunch food but was too lazy/tired to drive anywhere far so we ate at Mimi's Cafe. My intention was to get the crab cake Florentine benedict but then I saw the newly listed calorie count on the menu. Damn. Since when did they have this? It's good to know how many calories one may consume but sometimes ignorance is bliss. Just let me enjoy the food. Don't tell me this one meal will almost meet my calorie quota for the day. I convinced myself that I didn't those crab cakes, or the extra 600 calories, and I ordered the eggs Florentine benedict. Damn you menu calorie count. The days of eating 1000+ calorie meals unknowingly are over. Yet this will probably not deter those fat people from ordering calorie dense meals who frankly need to avoid them the most.

That's my favorite, no fuss burger.
For some reason it's better during lunch time.
Cheap too!
Cheap, good, AND your favorite? It's going on my long list of burger joints to try.
I don't know if I mentioned it before, but Hubcap Grill is a must try...cash only, open 11-3 non-Sundays
Yes, Hubcap is good. There are actually a lot of good burger places in Houston.
