Calm before the storm

I'm not talking about a hurricane but the pending arrival of baby #3. At this point we're ready... the crib is setup, old baby clothes are out of storage, and all the bottles are washed and ready. The only thing left to do is wait. Waiting is probably the worst part. It's the not knowing that kills me. Not knowing when he's coming. Not knowing how he's going to be as a baby. He can be difficult and colicky like Jacob or super easy and sleeping through the night by day two like Andrew. So many unknowns. I'm excited yet very anxious.

So what are we to do before baby comes? Get wild and crazy? No, we just relaxed. Saturday we had lunch at Mission Burrito. There are more choices on everything, from tortillas and sauces to beans and even rice. And if you dine-in it comes with salsa and chips. Chipotle is good but I like Mission more.

For dessert we went to Yogurtland. I first discovered this place in Dallas by NorthPark Center (the mall that will kick you out if you're ghetto and doesn't give a shit if you're famous or not). Initially I thought it was just another froyo place as there seems to be a new one popping up every month. But this place offers different, better flavors. In Dallas they offered lychee which sounded kind of weird but it was the best yogurt ever! The one we went to this day in Montrose did not have that flavor but offered other equally delicious flavors. I ended up with taro and toasted coconut and Lynn had the caramel almond bar and dragon passion. No unnecessary toppings needed. It was quite satisfying.

Today for lunch we ate at Red Robin. It's always been a good spot for a good, big burger but today, it wasn't that satisfying. Am I burgered out or have my taste buds changed? I'm leaning towards the latter. There was once a time when I thought Cici's pizza was the best pizza ever (we all know that's not true) but as I experienced the other pizza options available, my perspective changed. I think that's what happened here with Red Robin... it's good, but there are better options available. I'm going to miss you old friend.

August 15th but with Lynn's history with the two boys (both came early), it should be anytime now.
